All our Partner Drivers are self-employed and are carefully selected when applying to join our platform. The application process will vary from country to country and even city to city, as each local government will have a different licensing process.
In order for someone to become a Private Hire driver in London, they must apply for a Private Hire driver’s license as well as a vehicle license from Transport for London. There is a number of requirements/criteria they must meet in order to be eligible, and Transport for London carry out extensive background checks before granting a licence.
When a Private Hire driver wants to join the Kapten platform, we will also carry out additional checks as well as meet everyone face to face and give them a thorough induction to Kapten before they’re able to join our platform.
We also have a team dedicated to monitoring the performance of our Partner Drivers once they’re onboarded, and a key focus area is actioning any feedback and comments that we receive from our riders. Our aim is to provide the best possible service and to work with our Partner Drivers to give them the support and knowledge to deliver this.
