Kapten always pre-authorises your card whenever you select ‘Order Now’ via the app, whether the ride is completed or not.
A pre-authorisation is not a charge but a reserved amount on your card. This amount will automatically be released as soon as your ride is completed, cancelled or expired.
It will be replaced by the real amount of your ride if your order is complete or, replaced by the same amount in case cancellation fees apply. That way you may notice what appears to be multiple debits temporarily. It usually takes 3-5 working days before the amount becomes available on your account, but it can on occasion take longer, depending on your bank.
