Oh no! Don’t panic, there’s a couple of options and we will do our best to help you retrieve your item.
- Did you finish your ride less than 1 hour ago? Hurry up and head over to our app, where you are able to contact your driver directly to see if they have it. Go to ‘My Rides’ and contact your driver through this, as they might be able to meet you somewhere to return it.
- If it’s been 1 hour or more since you finished your ride, you can reach us through the app (‘My Rides’ -> find the ride in question -> select ‘Declare Lost Item’).
Tip: The more details you include the better - e.g. include make/brand, model, colour, size, serial number etc. as this will help us identify your item in case your driver hands it in to our Driver Centre.
Although Kapten is committed to doing our best to help facilitate the return of any lost property, we have to make you aware that Drivers are self-employed and Kapten can only act as an intermediary between you and the Driver. Kapten can therefore not accept liability in the event we are not successful in retrieving lost property, nor for any costs associated with retrieving lost property. Also, we cannot guarantee that your Driver has your item or that they can deliver it to you immediately.
